On November 29, 2012 Interior Secretary Ken Salazar called the Lunny family to inform them of his decision to: assert authority he does not have by trespassing on the State of California’s reserved, indefinite and exclusive jurisdiction over shellfish leases in Drakes Estero destroy jobs shut down 40% of California’s oyster production slaughter 8-10 million oysters in the bay terminate a beloved business that has been in operation since 1934 and turn hard-working families into jobless and homeless victims of his decisions. The Interior Department has intentionally falsified science and ignored its own policies to guarantee Ken Salazar’s pre-determined political outcome. People across this country need to come together in support of the families.
▼ Example of the intentional misrepresentation. In his interview above, Dr. Goodman uses the Drakes Bay (DB) boat as an example of the numerous misrepresentations made by the National Park Service . NPS claimed the boat motor noise negatively impacts the seals over the large red area shown below. However, Dr. Goodman discovered the NPS data was lifted from the Internet rather than measured, and was for a 75 HP 2-stroke Jet Ski rather than the actual DB 20 HP 4-stroke engine ― a BIG difference.
